Therapy isn't saying 'there's something wrong with me that needs to be fixed.' Consider instead that it's an opportunity to bring some new awareness to unconscious barriers that hinder life working out how you'd like it to be. It's potential is to be a life transforming experience, regardless of your expectations or where you're starting from.
My focus is to empower clients to explore their inner world, understand emotions, and learn to manage unhelpful and self-sabotaging beliefs & behaviours, so they can cultivate a more fulfilling and authentic life. This is less about 'change' but becoming more fully 'you'.
Achieving lasting results can take time, but clients also say they have gained important insights & effective new skills in just a few sessions.
How it works
Whether considering therapy for the first time, or indeed if you haven't had a great experience in the past, I encourage you to give it a try. Why? Because your fulfilment & happiness is much too important to leave to chance, or the hope that one day things will be better. Here's how it works:

1. Initial Contact
My online booking form is the best way to get started as you can see my availability at a glance & book yourself in for an initial consultation. If you have any questions about the service, please do read across the site as most FAQs should be answered here. However, if there's something specific you want to talk through, or you simply want to check me out first, email me, or let's schedule a brief call via the Contact Form

2. Assessment Interview
Your assessment is a one hour consultation where you are invited to share more about the issues you would like to address, and the results you'd like to achieve. At the end of the appointment I will share my initial thoughts on how I see the difficulties, and how we might proceed. At this point you may know if you want to continue with regular sessions or you may want to give it more thought. Either of these is ok.

3. Your Therapy
As part of the therapeutic process, I ask clients to make a verbal commitment to see me for 6 x 1 hour weekly appointments following the assessment. This is usually enough time to get properly acquainted and for you to see some initial benefits. Most of my clients choose to see me for longer than this, but my aim is always for you to achieve your goals quickly and sustainably.
